Are there Financial Aid FAQs for Center for Adult and Professional Studies students?
 Question
Is there a Financial Aid FAQ list for Center for Adult and Professional Studies students?
 Answer
What paperwork do I need to turn in before starting the program?
To begin the Center for Adult and Professional Studies (C.A.P.S.) program you must submit the application and registration forms. You can apply at www.apu.edu/apply by selecting your program of interest.

You must also file the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid). You can file at www.fafsa.ed.gov. APU's Title IV code is 001117.

What if I don't get the loan and I have already started the class?
Unless you have defaulted on a student loan, exceeded your loan total, or are not a U.S. citizen you will qualify for the loan.

When do I have to start paying back the loan?
Repayment of loans begins six months after dropping below half-time, withdrawing from school, or finishing the program. Loans can be deferred as long as you are enrolled half-time or more in school.

Do I only borrow one time for the whole program?
You may borrow at least two times during the program.

What is your payment plan option?

At least 20 percent of the term payment is due the first night of class, and four more equal payments are due on the 10th of each month, plus an $80 service charge.

For more information, visit the C.A.P.S. Student Financial Services website.
