As of 2008, Azusa Pacific University has secured a coveted place in the most prestigious category of national universities in U.S.News & World Report’s America’s Best Colleges ranking, categorized alongside such schools as Harvard, Yale, and Princeton. For the 2008 year, APU ranked in the third tier of the category among 262 national universities. Previously, APU was ranked within the Western Universities-Master’s Category, enjoying prominent placement and receiving acknowledgement for outstanding first-year and service-learning programs.

According to Diverse Issues in Higher Education magazine, APU was recognized for the fourth consecutive year as one of the nation’s top schools in awarding degrees to minority students. APU ranked among the top 100 in 10 categories, including ranking 6th for awarding Hispanic master’s degrees in the education category.

In addition, The Princeton Review included APU among the 123 colleges in the 2008 Best in the West category. This is the fourth consecutive year that APU has been included in this category.
